Ko So-young and Jang Dong-gun Reveal Their Kids for the First Time in 16 Years

Sixteen years after their marriage, actress Ko So-young has posted a YouTube video featuring her two children with actor Jang Dong-gun — the first time the couple has publicly shown their family together.

The video, uploaded to Ko's YouTube channel on the 9th, is titled "100% Real Daily Life of Ko So-young's Family, Revealed for the First Time in 16 Years of Marriage." It documents a Hawaii trip with Jang and their two children — son Jun-hyeok and daughter Yun-seol. The couple had previously kept their children's faces and daily lives out of the public eye.

Both kids take naturally to the camera. Jun-hyeok checks whether his voice is being recorded; Yun-seol picks up the camera herself and films her mother. Ko also notes the high cost of living in Hawaii and mentions she brought ingredients from Korea, while the family shops and dines together throughout the trip.

Jang handles airport snacks and makes toast for the family at the accommodation. Ko says of him, "A man who's quick to get up and do things — that's the best kind." Ko remarks it's her first time eating toast made by her husband; Yun-seol earns laughs with her appetite.

Ko So-young and Jang Dong-gun married in 2010 and have one son and one daughter.

In South Korea, celebrity couples shielding their children from any media exposure is common practice and widely respected. Voluntarily breaking that barrier after 16 years, on the parent's own channel, is treated as a significant public gesture.
