Gong Hyo-jin Returns to MBC in July with Assassin-Mom Drama *Married Woman Killer*

MBC has confirmed that *Married Woman Killer*, starring Gong Hyo-jin, will premiere in July as the network's new Friday-Saturday drama.

Gong plays Yoo Bo-na, a sales team manager at a company called Durumi Electronics by day and a legendary sniper known as "Kingfisher" by night — a one-shot assassin who eliminates criminals the law has failed to reach. The character is returning from three years of maternity leave, and the show tracks her trying to hold together a warm family life alongside a lethal second career. It marks Gong's first MBC lead since *The Greatest Love* in 2011, a 15-year gap.

Jeong Jun-won plays her husband Kwon Tae-seong, an investigative journalist who was once assigned to the Kingfisher beat — and is now slowly circling the truth about his own wife. Lee Sang-i plays Detective Lee Dong-jin, a tenacious cop determined to bring Kingfisher in. Sung Dong-il plays Kim Bong-pal, Yoo Bo-na's sales team chief, described as a deeply capable figure hiding his combat skills who serves as her behind-the-scenes support.

The production team said the show will deliver "breathtaking immersion" through the four leads' performances and promises viewers "thrilling catharsis" from its blend of family comedy and crime-action.
